Fettered Love Stories of Courage Vernella Fuller Books Reviews
I started following Vernella Fuller's writings after stumbling onto Returnee, which seemed to convey everything I'd thought/wanted to say/experience after moving back to Jamaica. I had eagerly anticipated Fettered Love and was not disappointed! What I love about the stories, and about Fuller's writings generally, is that she gives glimpses into so many different segments of Jamaican life. However, there's nothing cliched or hackneyed and the characters are refreshing. It's actually hard not to be engrossed by the stories. Her writing style is also very accessible. I'd definitely recommend and look forward to future books.
